This album might make more sense as something your dad would love than as a new favorite for a twenty-something hipster and his friends, but that’s what happened—it spread through my friend group until we were all enamored with this piano-driven, adult-contemporary, alt-country-adjacent masterpiece. It’s a testament to my dad’s taste in music as well as to the album’s quality.
